Our adoption Process:
1. Contract us anytime via email, or phone to discuss bringing one
of our animals into your home. (Please note that email is the fastest
and easiest way to contact us.)
2. You will be asked to fill out an adoption questionnaire. It must be
filled out prior to adoption. This questionnaire helps us understand
your current knowledge about the pet you are inquiring about, as well as
exactly what you are exactly looking for from your potential new
addition. In some cases we will do a phone consultation.
3. We will email you with any questions we have and discuss a possible
adoption, including adoption fees, payment arrangements, and pick-up
options.
4. You will be asked to agree to the terms below, including our
adoption/sales contract that is required to be signed for any adoption.
Should you agree, you will be asked to place a deposit on your new pet.
Deposits are due within 1 week of initial agreement to purchase/adopt.
5. We will update you about once a week with information and photos of
your new pet.
6. You will be required to contact us 1 week prior to the new pet going
home to make any final pick-up arrangements. Your animals must be paid
in full at this time, including any shipping/transportation fees.
Deposits:
Deposits are due within 1 week of initial agreement to
purchase/adopt.
Deposits can be made by check, money order, or via Paypal even if you do
not have a Paypal account. Please understand a deposit is required to
hold your animal until it is weaned. We will mark your pet as "Pending"
for 1 week for your deposit to reach us. If we have not received your
deposit in this time frame, the animal will be put back up for adoption.
Please note that deposits secure a home for the pet, and is NOT
refundable on your end. The balance of the animal is due 1 week before
the animal is expected to be weaned. If you are picking up your new pet,
you may pay the balance at pick-up with CASH only. We reserve the right to return your
deposit/monies paid, and cancel the adoption at anytime.
Payments:
We accept payments on most of our animals.
Time frames, and payment amounts will vary on each individuals
circumstances. Any
payment arrangements must be done in writing, and agreed upon by both
parties prior to adoption. We make every effort we can for wonderful
homes to afford our babies. Under most circumstances, the animal must be
paid in full including shipping costs before it leaves our home. Payments can be made by
check, money order, or via Paypal even if you do not have a Paypal
account.
Pick Up:
Your new pet can be picked up after it's weaned. Final pick-up
arrangements must be made 1 week prior to the animals weaning date. All pets must
be picked up before the animal is 10 days past it's weaned date unless
another arrangement has been agreed prior to the pick-up due date. All
money due on the animal must be paid in full before the pet is scheduled
to go home. Only CASH is accepted at pick-up. All payments must be cleared
before the pet can go home.
Meeting Part Way:
I will drive up to 2 hours to deliver your animal should my
schedule permit me to do so. There is a $35.00 fee to cover
transportation fees. Should you decide to use this service, please let me know
at least 3 weeks before the pickup date to ensure I can get my
schedule to cooperate.
Shipping:
The pet must be paid in full including all shipping costs, with all payments cleared 1 week prior
to shipping. The animals must be shipped before the animal is 14
days past it's weaned date unless another arrangement has been agreed
upon prior to the shipping due date. We only ship our animals via
airline.
Lack of Contact (IMPORTANT):
We require that you contact us 1 week prior to your animal being weaned
to finalize pick-up/shipping arrangements. If you fail to contact us
between 1 week prior to the time your pet is schedule to go home, to the
required time the animal is to go home by the above terms, you agree to
forfeit any monies paid including deposit. Your pet will be placed back
up for adoption immediately. In some cases, the monies can be applied to
a future pet purchased from us at our discretion.
Why do you have this policy?Several times we have had people
place a deposit on one of our animals, only to disappear and refuse to
reply to emails, phone calls, and letters. We had to invoke this policy
to protect our animals and their right to find a wonderful home to bond
with, instead of being held in limbo.
<<<IMPORTANT>>>
All sales/adoptions are required to agree to the terms above, as well as
our sales contract. By sending a deposit for one of our animals, you
agree to all terms listed above, and all terms in our Sales/Adoption
contract. If you would like to receive a copy via snail mail, please
contact us. Our Sales/Adoption contract is REQUIRED to be signed prior
to the animal leaving our premises.
